Happy New Year! I know I'm a little late, but what a busy first month of this new year the music department has had! We started off the new year with a fundraiser, in which we did very well so if you helped us by buying or donating, thank you for your support. We appreciate those who help us on the way to learning more about music and enriching our experience. Our online campaign will continue until June, so if you would like to help follow the link above.
To recapitulate the end of last year, the band placed 1st at Southern Boone Marching Classic, performed for Veteran's Day at the Chariton county courthouse and hosted another successful christmas concert. For this year the band is looking forward to participating in many events including Conference Band Clinic at Breckenridge High School on February 15th, CMU Woodwind Invitational on February 16th, two students will be in the NEMO Jr. High Honor band at Macon on February 18th, and the entire band will be performing at CMU Music Fest on March 3.
Assuming it gets approval, the band will also be taking a fun trip this summer to celebrate their first champion trophy in many years! Lots of excitement in the Keytesville Tiger Band Room this spring semester of 2017! Come out and support these kids whenever you can, they work so hard and love what they do so much!
